Death - Mathu Liyanage

Death

Life is not sweet though full of pain and rapture
It’s the sweetest minus suffering and pleasure,
You will not hear birds singing and leaves falling
Nor see blossomed flowers and bees humming
You don’t see changing seasons and fading flowers
As you become enwrapped by darkness.

You have left an impermanent world
Where there is nothing permanent and solid.

Death brings peace you longed for
And eternal peace you cried for.

  2. Eventhough thinking about death is depressing, it is the reality of life.
The writer here has seen it as something peaceful. isn't that wonderful?
